Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 2026. JobConfident is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities.

Our Commitment

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility Features

JobConfident includes the following accessibility features:

  • Keyboard Navigation — All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. We support standard navigation patterns including Tab, Enter, Space, Escape, and arrow keys.
  • Screen Reader Support — We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and live regions to ensure content is accessible to screen readers.
  • Skip Navigation — A "Skip to main content" link is provided for keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation.
  • Focus Management — Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements. Focus is trapped within modals and dialogs.
  • Motion Preferences — We respect the "prefers-reduced-motion" operating system setting and reduce or remove animations accordingly.
  • Contrast — We respect the "prefers-contrast" setting and aim for WCAG AA contrast ratios across the interface.
  • Text Scaling — The interface supports browser text scaling up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, we are aware of the following limitations:

  • Real-time voice interviews — Voice-based interview sessions require audio input and may not be fully accessible to users who are deaf or hard of hearing. Text-based interview mode is available as an alternative.
  • Video avatar sessions — Avatar-based sessions include visual content that may not be fully described for screen reader users. Transcripts are provided for all sessions.
