Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026. By using JobConfident, you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

JobConfident is an AI-powered interview simulation platform. We provide mock interview practice, AI-generated personas, competency evaluation, and coaching feedback. The service is available via web application at jobconfident.com.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use JobConfident. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. You must not create an account on behalf of another person without their express permission.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models or algorithms
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the service
  • Share your account with others or resell access
  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or security measures

If you believe a user is violating these terms, please report it to abuse@jobconfident.com.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Free accounts include 15 credits per month. Paid plans (Starter, Core, Elite) are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Credits are consumed per interview based on format — text, voice, or video. You may cancel at any time — your plan continues until the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions continue at the current rate until renewal.

Refund Policy

If you are unsatisfied with a paid plan, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or most recent renewal, provided you have not consumed more than 50% of your monthly credits. After the 14-day window, partial refunds are not available — you may cancel to prevent future charges. Refund requests should be sent to billing@jobconfident.com.

5. AI-Generated Content

Interview responses, evaluations, and feedback are generated by AI models. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • Evaluation scores are for practice purposes and do not predict real interview outcomes
  • Persona behaviors are simulated and may not reflect real interviewer conduct
  • You should not rely solely on JobConfident for career decisions

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload (resumes, job descriptions). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your content for model training. You can delete your content at any time. For full details on how your data is handled, retained, and deleted, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

JobConfident, including its design, code, AI models, prompts, and branding, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the platform without written permission.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JobConfident and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) content you upload; (c) your violation of these terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

9. Limitation of Liability

JobConfident is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for:

  • Career outcomes based on practice sessions
  • Inaccuracies in AI-generated evaluations
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Actions taken based on AI advice or feedback
  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure failures, cyberattacks, pandemics, or third-party service outages.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Upon termination, your data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of JobConfident shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Wilmington, Delaware. Each party shall bear its own costs unless the arbitrator determines otherwise. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis, not as a class action or representative proceeding.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
